Pretty Little Liars Season 7 will definitely end with a bang!
The show began its farewell episodes this week. In its mid-season finale, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) was gunned down by Jenna (Tammin Sursok). Although she seems dead in the fall finale, Spencer will still appear when the show returns in April for the final half of Season 7.
“Spencer, like every other character on the show, is—we always say we’re equal opportunity punishers, and A is an equal opportunity killer. So everybody is always subject to their demise, and it’s possible we’ll see them in flashbacks,” creator I. Marlene King teased.
The recent episode also revealed who Spencer’s real parents are. It turned out that Mary Drake (Andrea Parker) is her mother. King said the entire family history of Spencer will be known when Season 7 resumes in April.
King has divulged more spoilers for the upcoming end of Pretty Little Liars Season 7 during her recent conference call with reporters.
She hinted that the identity of Spencer’s true parents is not the only family mystery that will be uncovered this season. King said viewers will also find out who Charlotte’s father is. She also teased that there will be more than one wedding in Rosewood when PLL returns. Could one of the weddings be an Aria-Ezra wedding? Moreover, the creator said Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) pregnancy will also be a big part of season 7B storyline.
When asked about the possibility of Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto) return in the last 10 episodes, King admitted that they are highly considering it. In fact, King is hoping that the Chicago Med star can make room in her busy schedule for Pretty Little Liars.
Aside from Bellisario and Pieterse, PLL also stars Lucy Hale (Aria), Shay Mitchell (Emily) and Ashley Benson (Hanna).
Pretty Little Liars Season 7 returns for its final 10 episodes in April 2017 on Freeform. The PLL series finale will be a two-hour event.
