Pretty Little Liars Season 7 will not just end without another major death.
The upcoming Season 7 has been confirmed to be the last for the Freeform drama. Pretty Little Liars creator Marlene King has announced via Facebook Live that the PLL leading ladies will bid their goodbye in 2017.
King revealed that in the second half of the final season, someone is going to die. PLL has been known to kill off its character and then bring them back to life. This time, however, there will be no second life for this character.
“It’s groundbreaking for us the way this person dies, for sure. I think it’s just fun and chilling … we’re trying to come full circle on the show in a lot of ways, and this one sets the groundwork for that,” King told Entertainment Weekly.
Who among Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) will die in the season finale? There have been speculations that Hanna is the most likely to die. The character had received a death threat in the last episode. Her absence in the Season 7 promotional picture could also be a hint about her demise.

Hale also hinted all questions will be answered when PLL Season 7 returns in April. This could mean that the identities of A, Uber A and AD will be revealed, too.
Meanwhile, King earlier teased about the possibility of the show continuing in another style – possibly a spinoff or a movie.
Pretty Little Liars premiered in 2010 and quickly became Freeform’s top show. It became a pop culture phenomenon for teen viewers and beyond with over 14 million Facebook followers, 5.8 million fans on Instagram and 3.7 million followers on Twitter, Variety noted.
Pretty Little Liars Season 7 summer finale airs on Tuesday (Aug. 30) at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Freeform.
The series will return for its final 10 episodes in April 2017. PLL is also set to have a two-hour special finale episode.
