An Australian fan was lucky enough to steal a smooch from Johnny Depp while the actor was filming “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” in the country. While his stay in Australia hasn’t been all butterflies and rainbows, Depp still made sure that his fans know he appreciates them.
On Tuesday, June 23, the actor allowed a few of his fans to visit him in the set of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” in Hastings Point, New South Wales. Depp was in his complete Jack Sparrow costume as fans took turns taking photos with the actor. Whitney Aldridge was among the fans who came, but she left with more than just a picture.
According to Hollywood Life, the 21-year-old “got the most intimate with the actor.” When it was her turn, she cuddled up with Johnny, smiled for the camera and then grabbed the actor’s face for a quick kiss on the cheek.

Being such a gentleman, Depp didn’t resist. Even telling Whitney “Oh, bless your heart,” and then joking “You’re shy!”
After the great smooch, Whitney told Northern Star Newspaper that the actor ”is one of the most handsome, gentle, caring, appreciative celebrities I have ever met,” quotes ET Canada.
Depp and the film’s crew have been spending time in the Land Down Under filming the fifth installment of the pirate film series. “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” took several years to create. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new plot follows Captain Jack Sparrow in a new adventure:

Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.”
