‘Penny Dreadful’ Season 3 Episode 3 Spoilers: What’s Next for Vanessa After Dracula’s Big Expose

Penny Dreadful Season 3, Episode 2 reveals Dracula, Episode 3 Spoilers show Vanessa in Asylum

The Victorian-era British horror drama “Penny Dreadful” has been renewed for a nine-episode third season.  Last Sunday’s 2nd episode of the Gothic series revealed the identity of Dracula. The new dark force is none other than Alexander Sweet, the director of zoological studies at the London Natural History Museum. This character was introduced in the premiere episode of Season 3, who is very much interested in Vanessa.

The episode titled as “Predators Far and Near” showed Vanessa pouring her heart out to Dr. Seward. She later visits Sweet at the museum where she bonded well with him over Captain Nemo. Alexander Sweet also expressed himself to her saying that “the evening meant a lot to him.” She looks like to be falling for Alexander’s charms. However, as the hour drew to a close, we saw Renfield informing his new master Alexander about Vanessa’s session with Dr. Seward. Reports IBT.

Since many fans had already predicted Alexander would be the dark force, the revelation about the identity of Dracula was not shocking. Vanessa has been unlucky with men, and now Alexander’s presence will only bring her more harm than good. It has not yet known how long Vanessa will take to realize Alexander’s true character. If spoilers to be believed the viewers might get to see her truly falling in love with the zoologist in due course of time.  Revealed show-runner John Logan to EW.

In the meantime, the third episode is titled as “Good and Evil Braided Be” will air on coming Sunday. And the promo pictures (via Spoiler TV) show Vanessa in some sort of an asylum. The official synopsis also teases that Vanessa will meet a familiar face which will help her to find out something about her past.

The official synopsis for “Good and Evil Braided Be” reads:

“Ethan (Josh Hartnett) and Hecate (Sarah Greene) race across the desert with Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton) and Kaetenay (Wes Studi) hot on his trail. The Creature (Rory Kinnear) returns to London desperately trying to piece his former life back together. After Dr. Jekyll (Shazad Latif) and Dr. Frankenstein’s (Harry Treadaway) plan fails, they come up with a new strategy. Lily (Billie Piper) and Dorian’s young acolyte, Justine (Jessica Barden), show useful skills. A clue about her past is revealed to Vanessa (Eva Green).

What’s stored there for Vanessa in upcoming 3rd episode, we wonder? Tune into Penny Dreadful to find out as it airs Sundays on Showtime.
