Outlander Season 3 is arriving soon and a lot of expectation has already been built among fans around it. Meanwhile, on and off there are a few trailers and previews about it, which are giving glimpse of what can be expected in the show’s new series. The recent spoilers reveal an interesting face-off between Jamie Fraser and  Jonathan Randall in the season premiere. What else is in store for fans?  Here is a quick take.

The season 3 of the time-travel series is going to have a major change in the opening shots, as decided by the show-runner Ronald Moore. Recently, a few pictures from the premiere were released and they suggested that there would be the bloody Battle of Culloden in the opening scene between Jamie (Sam Heughan) and ‘Black Jack’ Randall (Tobias Menzies). If one takes into account of the past’s dark clashes, it is not wrong to assume that this encounter will also be full of intense thrills.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Moore briefed, “It just felt like for the TV show, we’ve been promising this for a while and it just felt like we should have something. We should give the audience some sense of what happened on that moor.” Those who aren’t aware of it, let us remind you that in Diana Gabaldon’s third book, Voyager, it opens with Jamie without a single memory of what happened in the war.

Earlier in season 2, we have seen numerous deviations from the book and those changes arrived as a welcome move to the book’s author herself. Gabaldon took to her Facebook account giving a heads up about the modifications she brought when she penned down the episode 11 in the second season, with an assurance that those changes will be well-appreciated when fans will see them.

Well, going by this, it won’t be wrong to expect that it won’t be a big deal for the fans to accept that tweaking which are again made in season 3. It will be seen when Outlander season 3 will come back to Starz in 2017.
