“I feel very strongly that it may possibly be Leo’s year. And he is my closest friend in the world and I just couldn’t imagine not being there to support him,” she said.
DiCaprio didn’t seem to be anxious at all at the red carpet as he held close his long time friend. The Best Actor nominee looked quite happy ahead of the main event.
While being interviewed by Robin Roberts at the red carpet, DiCaprio was looking confident. He believed that there was a lot of “thought” in the movie.
“This film was a combination of so much effort on all of our parts.” he said.
“It was really years in the making and very tough conditions.”
Since the 1997 film “Titanic,” both DiCaprio and Winslet has become part of families around the world.
According to EOnline, even if she misses her award for Best Supporting Actress in the film “Steve Jobs,” Winslet would still be elated to watch her best friend take home the Oscars.
