The hilarious lady inmates are coming back in “Orange Is The New Black” season 4 on Friday (June 17) and before you indulge yourself in binge watching, there are some changes in the show that you have to know.

OITNB creator Jenji Kohan earlier teased that the upcoming season four of the Netflix show will be “a little darker, and a little more cynical.”

Here are some changes that you can expect in “Orange Is The New Black” season 4.

1.Piper underwear business

It was previously reported that Piper (Taylor Schilling) will be like a kingpin in the upcoming season as her underwear business in prison will continue to flourish.

Schilling teased during a Paley Center that her character will be going to play out like a “Godfather” in OITNB season 4. “She’s becoming a little bit of a kingpin and has this swagger. But the feeling I always have about Piper Chapman is that she tries on everything like a piece of clothing — she doesn’t quite fit the jacket, but she tries it on. And I love that about her,” she said.

2. Caputo is in charge

Since Warden Figueroa (Alysia Reiner) was kicked out at the end of season two, the new man-in-charge of Litchfield Penitentiary – Joe Caputo (Nick Sandow) – will try to make things better.  However, he will eventually realize the alarming compromises of the privatized prison system.

3. Pennsatucky post-rape plan

Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning) will struggle with the fallout from her rape. Last season, she struck up an unlikely friendship with Big Boo (Lea DeLaria). She was well on the road to normalcy until she was raped while on van duty by a slimy CO (James McMenamin). She sought revenge with the help of Boo, but the two stopped short of doing violence. Will they do it this season?

4. Taystee as “mom”

Taystee (Danielle Brooks) will become the new “mom” of Vee’s old gang. According to Rolling Stone, Taystee will be more kind and caring mother than her predecessor. The character will also assume a new role in the prison. Caputo will appoint Taystee to be his secretary.

5. Overcrowded prison

A new batch of inmates and guards are about to enter the Litchfield Penitentiary and they are expected to bring trouble in prison.

According to the Inquisitr, Brad William Henke has joined the cast as a prison guard. Jolee Purdy, Mike Houston and Kelly Karbacz will also join the class, but the details of the roles they will play remain under the wraps.

“Orange Is The New Black” is set to premiere on Friday (June 17) on Netflix.
