‘Orange is the New Black’ Season 4 Plot Revealed; Sophia-Gloria Feud Continues

No reconciliation for Sophia and Gloria in “Orange is the New Black” season 4.

Laverne Cox confirmed that the feud between her character, Sophia, and fellow inmate Gloria (Selenis Leyva) will continue in the upcoming season.

“I can’t imagine. As a viewer watching, seeing how much remorse Gloria has, I always like to believe there’s a potential for forgiveness, but this is pretty bad. This is really, really bad,” she said.

Leyva remains hopeful though. She told TV Guide, “We don’t know what’s coming yet … but they are good people, and you see that individually. The audience got to see that these women are having conflict. And it’s not about a personal attack on each other. It’s more about their children, and how they’re desperately trying to hold onto some kind of control.”

The hostility between the two inmates could be one of the many conflicts that can be expected in the upcoming season of OITNB. Netflix has yet to announce the plot details for season 6, but here are few other things that we know so far.

1. Alex is coming back and possibly John Bennett too.

Laura Prepon, who plays Alex, had already confirmed that her character survived the attempt on her life in season three. She said Alex will be tougher this time after her near-death experience and at the same time will try to win back Piper.

Matt McGorry, on the other hand, revealed that his character, John Bennet, is not dead but declined to give confirmation if he will reprise his role in the upcoming season.

2. It will be a crowded Litchfield Prison.

This is one thing that is sure at this point in “Orange is the New Black” Season 4.

Netflix has recently confirmed at least three new male characters will be added in the hit series, aside from Shannon Esper, who will play a recurring role as Alana Dwight.

3. Caitlyn Jenner will not be joining the OITNB.

Jenner has been rumored to appear in a guest role in the hit series but Netflix quickly dismissed reports of such.

“Orange is the New Black” is scheduled to return for its fourth season in June 2016.
