Three male characters will be introduced in the upcoming “Orange is the New Black” season 4.
Netflix announced the three characters will be played by Brad William Henke, Mike Houston, and Kelly Karbacz, Christian Today reported. However, the specific details of the roles that they will be portraying are still underwraps.
VineReport suggested Henke and Houston could play the roles of jail guards, while Karbacz could work in the management side of the Litchfield Penitentiary.
Henke appeared in “Pacific Rim,” while Houston has been known for his role in “The Drop” and Karbacz starred in “Get Smart.”
It was earlier reported that Shannon Esper has been confirmed for a recurring role as Alana Dwight in the upcoming season of “OITNB”.
Kate Mulgrew, who plays Red, told TV Guide, “[The overcrowding issues] are going to carry over to every nook and cranny in our prison, believe me when I tell you that.”
Meanwhile, Laura Prepon revealed that viewers will see a different Alex in season four.
In an interview with TV Guide, Prepon revealed that her character would become a tougher person after her near-death experience in the previous season on the Netflix hit series.
“I don’t think you’re going to see a more timid side of Alex. If anything, she’s justified in her paranoia… That empowers her, in my opinion,” Prepon teased.
The feud between Sophia (Laverne Cox) and Gloria (Selenis Leyva) will also continue in season four.
When asked about a change of reconciliation between Sophia and Gloria, Cox told TV Guide, “I can’t imagine. As a viewer watching, seeing how much remorse Gloria has, I always like to believe there’s a potential for forgiveness, but this is pretty bad. This is really, really bad.”
On the other hand hand, Leyva remains hopeful. “We don’t know what’s coming yet … but they are good people, and you see that individually,” she said.
“Orange is the New Black” will return in June 2016.
