Britney Spears may bring more conflict to the already chaotic Litchfield Penitentiary in the upcoming season of “Orange is the New Black.”

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Taryn Manning expressed her desire for a Britney Spears reunion on the Netflix hit show.

Manning plays Tiffany “Pennsatucky” Doggett, an ex-drug addict from Waynesboro, Virginia, in OINTB. She and Britney worked together in the 2002 movie “Crossroads”, alongside with Zoe Saldana.

When asked if she could see Britney as a prisoner in Litchfield, Manning replied: “Of course, I want Britney Spears everywhere you can see her. She’s the best.”

On what kind of character Britney might play on OITNB, Manning said: “Um, I mean, I don’t have to make up a character — she’s such a good actor that I feel like they could do anything with her. I was so impressed working with her I was like — she’s just very sincere in her acting, you know? It’s like everyone wanted to maybe hope that she’s not gonna be good but she was great.”

Kate Mulgrew, who plays Red, had earlier said there will be overcrowding issues in the prison in season four, suggesting there will be additions to the cast.

Netflix has yet to confirm if Spears will join the show although it had earlier announced that three new male characters will be introduced in the fourth season of OITNB. The characters will be played by Brad William Henke, Mike Houston, and Kelly Karbacz. It was also earlier reported that Shannon Esper will return for recurring role as Alana Dwight.

Caitlyn Jenner was earlier rumored to join the cast of OINTB as the love interest of Sophia Burset, which is played by Laverne Cox. However, Netflix denied that Jenner will be joining the inmates at Litchfield Penitentiary.

The possibility for an appearance from Britney in OITNB is not actually impossible, Inquisitr noted. The singer had made cameo roles in several TV shows including in “How I Met Your Mother,” “Will & Grace,” and “Glee.”

Spears earlier confirmed that she will appear in a guest role on “Jane the Virgin” season two as Rogelio’s “nemesis.”

“Orange is the New Black” season 4 is currently in production and is set to debut in 2016.
