A new budget-friendly Oppo A37 is here and it packs impressive specs and a decent price.
As per Android Authority, the company takes pride of the Oppo A37 and its capability to produce top quality photos. The website breaks down the device’s camera hardware and details its specifications. For its main camera, the A37 is equipped with an 8 megapixel sensor with large 1.4um pixels. Meanwhile, its front camera carries a 5 megapixel OmniBSI sensor, with the same 1.4um large pixel size.
Apart from the basic features, Android Authority also details that the front camera has more tricks on its sleeve including a display flash and wave gesture countdown feature. To activate this, the user simply waves his or her hand at the front camera to begin the countdown.
While its camera features can be considered superb, other specs of the Oppo A37 are also pretty decent.
GSM Arena lists that the A37 is equipped with a Snapdragon 410 chipset and a 5-inch 720p IPS LCD. It is also not far behind other higher end devices in that it is layered with Gorilla Glass 4 and has 2.5D curved edges.
In terms of its memory and storage capabilities, the Oppo A37 packs 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM. It has also a very convenient dedicated slot which can accommodate a microSD card and nano sims all in one. With a microSD card in place, the 16GB storage that comes with the device can be expanded up to 128GB.
As for its price, NDTV places the Oppo A37 at 1,299 Chinese Yuan (AU$ 264.57). The website reports that the device can now be purchased in China through Oppo’s official store. However, no word has been given as to when the device will reach markets outside of China.
