Niall Horan might be the first 1D star to release a solo album. Yet the good news could mean something else to One Direction fans if it would affect the band’s chances of getting back together.
The Sun broke the news of Niall Horan’s negotiations with Syco, Simon Cowell’s company. Moreover, it revealed that Modest, the same group that managed One Direction, would handle his solo career, the publication added. Apparently, the young Irishman was the secret weapon of the boyband, according to an insider who spoke to the publication. Horan’s talent for songwriting and music plus his good looks and charm gives him an edge.
“Niall is the band’s secret weapon — Modest and Syco believe he has what it takes to become a breakout solo star. He has the songwriting and music talent, good looks and cheeky Irish personality, which made him a favorite in the States,” the insider revealed.
“A deal with Syco is going to be signed in the coming weeks and Niall is already back in the studio writing. There’s a hit single there too, which will probably be released early next year,” the insider added.
Although Niall Horan continues to indulge in his favorite sport, professional songwriter Wayne Hector revealed the 1D star had started writing music for himself. Thus, it might not be too long before the Irishman releases an album. However, Horan’s plans might not be the only threat to the band’s future. As the boys pursue solo projects, would that prolong the hiatus or worse, lead to the One Direction split?
Harry Styles is on the set of “Dunkirk” and his chances for Hollywood stardom might be within reach. On the other hand, Louis Tomlinson reportedly has plans to work in television, the Mirror revealed. His recent stint as a guest judge on “America’s Got Talent” was successful.
Despite earlier reports of his collaboration with Juicy J, it would seem like Liam Payne has gone on an extended vacation, The Sun remarked. Simon Cowell, the man responsible for putting together One Direction, spoke about the hiatus recently, HollywoodLife reported. His words likely didn’t comfort Directioners who hoped otherwise.
“I don’t know if it’s a hiatus or a breakup, to be honest. In a weird way, I don’t want to know. I don’t think they’ve had enough time to experience what it’s like not being in the group to really answer that,” Cowell said.
