Fans of One Direction can’t get enough of the group’s latest single, “Perfect” when the song’s official music video was released Tuesday this week. The music video appears to prove the speculations that in the song lyrics, Harry Styles is slamming his ex, Taylor Swift.

The music video is shot entirely in black and white featuring the 1D members Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Harry Styles in a hotel. The group is seen casually hanging out and Liam Payne gets a tattoo. But towards the end of the video, Harry Styles has a dramatic solo scene.

Just Jared notes that Styles’ solo scene resembles that dramatic scene in Taylor Swift’s music video of “Style.” Both Styles and Swift “were filmed with dramatic scenery laid over their faces.”

The site mentions that it may be coincidental but the video’s resemblance is definitely sending a “strong message.”

The official music video has been released hours after the boy band group cancelled their concert in Belfast SSE Arena. 1D member Liam Payne was reported to be ill, thus the cancellation of the show.

Payne and co-member Louis Tomlinson have expressed their apologies to their fans on Twitter.

Fans were definitely disappointed of how things turned out.

Michael Green, who took his daughter to the arena told BBC how he was “disgusted” with how fans were treated at the event. He recalled moving past hundreds of weeping girls as he  and his daughter were  to their seats.

Another disappointed fan, Sarah Stevenson posted a video of fans booing when the cancellation was made. She would have appreciated it if Styles, Tomlinson, and Horan have explained the situation to their fans, Stevenson said.

But with the recent release of the music video of “Perfect,” it looks like fans are no longer disappointed.

One Direction has announced that their newest album will be available on November 13 before the group goes on a hiatus next year.
