One Direction members are starting to carve their own names into the music scene. Niall Horan slams Harry Styles by going solo as well.
Fans seldom see news about Horan, but this time, International Business Times reported that he is currently working with the popular songwriter and producer Wayne Hector in preparation for his own musical career.
The producer had worked with big artists like Britney Spears, Westlife, Nicki Minaj, Jess Glynne, and Jason Derulo, to name a few. “We are writing together but he wants to do it for himself and not other people at the moment. We have no idea where we’ll end up,” Hector said about working with the Irish singer.
While this must be exciting for Horan’s supporters, this might mark a competition between him and his bandmate, Harry Styles. The latter has been working with the equally-talented Snow Patrol vocalist, Johnny McDaid.
Hector also said that Styles’ upcoming solo effort is supposed to be “phenomenal” while reiterating that Horan is “musically gifted” and a “great guitarist.” One Direction supporters may have to wait for the two members to launch their solo careers before concluding who will bag the most sales.
Aside from going to another direction, Horan has been spending his time on hiatus playing golf. He will join this year’s Irish Open and he expressed his feelings about it recently. “I was very nervous actually,” quotes Belfast Telegraph. “I wasn’t when I woke up and then I looked out the window of the hotel and saw all the crowds walking past and thought it’s going to be tough out there.”
On the other hand, other One Direction members are also busy with their own lives. Aside from Styles and Horan, Liam Payne is reportedly working on a solo project and was acquired by Jennifer Lopez to be one of her songwriters. Payne is also dating Girls Aloud alum Cheryl. Meanwhile, Louis Tomlinson is enjoying fatherhood with his first child, Freddie Reign.
As for One Direction, no one can confirm whether the boys are parting ways for good. They announced their indefinite hiatus during the On The Road tour.
