One Direction has been in hiatus for almost half a year now. Their current break is said to be indefinite but with the lads going for their own plans, it looks like the hiatus could be permanent. Amidst fans’ hope for the boy band’s reunion, it seems one member has expressed his desire to get back on stage with his pals.

Speaking to J-14 at the Royal Ascot, Niall Horan admitted how much he misses One Direction.

“Sometimes you kind of miss it – having a bit of a regime. For the last six months, I’ve been my own boss and rolling out of bed whenever I want… and not having to think too much. I do miss it a little bit but it’s been nice to be able to sit around,” Niall revealed. The One Directioner also mentioned that he spends time at the studio only to make sure he “keeps his mind fresh.”

Does that mean these boys are already planning on how they’d get back to the spotlight? Well, we don’t know yet. “X Factor” UK boss Simon Cowell recently mentioned that fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the boys back together on stage.

“One Direction I don’t think we’ll see as a group for a while now if I’m being honest with you,” Simon told Variety.

Right now, Harry Styles is busy filming for “Dunkirk” while Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne are also spending their time away from the studio, Inquisitr noted. There were also rumors that Louis, Liam and Niall are not in good terms.

As he joins “Dunkirk,” Harry Styles is said to be Hollywood’s next biggest star. Will he likely quit his singing career to focus on movie projects? As Louis and Liam are both busy with their girlfriends Danielle Campbell and Cheryl respectively, should One Direction fans lose hope in the bands’ epic return? Tell us your thoughts below!
