Offspring season 6 welcomes the return of a familiar face to the show. His appearance could mean a significant change in Nina’s life, if she chooses to.
The return of the popular Australian drama brings along a number of surprises that certainly makes Offspring season 6 worth the wait. First, the one-night stand of Dr. Nina Proudman (Asher Keddie) with Franklin (Vincent Fantauzzo) had everyone talking. Second, the entry of new cast members like Harry Crewe (Alexander England) and Dr. Angus Freeman (Dan Wyllie) would point to an interesting storyline ahead. Not to mention, greater excitement in Nina’s personal life. However, the best is yet to come. Following its two-week break, Offspring season 6 returns on August 24 along with a familiar face. Le Nevez spoke of his return in the next episode.
“I’ve been a huge fan of the show [Offspring] since before I joined and continue to be to this day. To step back onto their set and work with Asher again was an opportunity I could not pass up. The cast and crew feel like family to me and I was absolutely thrilled to be asked back,” Le Nevez said.
Viewers would recall Dr. Patrick Reid played by actor Matthew Le Nevez. Although his character passed away at the end of season 4, Nina would think and dream of him repeatedly throughout season 5. Patrick and Nina are parents to Zoe on the drama series.
Nina receives an unexpected visitor in the upcoming episode. Patrick’s ex-wife Jodie (Freya Stafford) reveals information that recently came to her attention. Apparently, Patrick opted to undergo semen cryopreservation. She offers it to Nina in the event that she decides to get pregnant again. Hence, the entry of Patrick in a dream sequence as Nina mulls over the shocking news from Jodie, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Offspring season 6 resumes telecast on August 24 at 8:30 pm on TEN.
