Offspring Season 6 is ending on Wednesday, and its lead star Asher Keddie has her thoughts about the future of the Aussie show.
Keddie expressed confidence that Offspring will come back for another season. “Obviously we’ve talked and the possibility is always there for another series … But one thing I can say is, it was really important to me, and to all of us I think, that we don’t tie things up with a pretty bow [in the final episode] … It’s always nice to leave the door open,” she told TV Guide as cited by Herald Sun.
The publication reported that Channel Ten has earlier announced that it is working hard on bringing back the show in 2017. The network reportedly incurred additional expenses when it brought Offspring to the small screen this year. Ten wrapped up Offspring in 2014 after its fifth season because of financial reasons. So far, Offspring has been a hit since its return in June. It recorded an average of 900,000 to 1 million viewers per episode this season.
