Offspring season 6 new cast member Alexander England shared his excitement of joining the show.
England joined the show as Harry Crewe, the new hospital manager at St. Francis Hospital. As the new Crisis and Culture manager, Crewe will immediately face challenges when a public relations disaster occur in the hospital.
“Offspring is a really interesting show tonally. It can swing from the extreme height of comedy to serious tragedy within one episode. I knew I was going to have to pay attention to what was going on around me and really respond it,” he said.
Is England going to play another love interest for Proudman too?
Since Dr. Patrick Reid’s (Matt Le Nevez) death in season four, Nina Proudman (Asher Keddie) has found love in Leo Taylor, which is being portrayed by Patrick Brammall. But she has been linked with Franklin and Dr. Angus Freeman, flirtatious new Director of Education of St Francis Hospital, too. Franklin is portrayed by Keddie’s real-life husband Vincent Fantauzzo, while Freeman is being played by Dan Wylie. Dr. Freeman has been described as a heartbreaker and was compared to Grey’s Anatomy’s Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey).
Now that another newcomer has arrived in the hospital, it looks like Nina will also get closer to Crewe.
England explained that Crewe has his own agenda in the hospital and that is to solve problems. Since his character doesn’t know the hospital staff , he needs to assess them and that is how he will work with Dr. Proudman.
Meanwhile, aside from England and Wylie, Shannon Berry has also joined season six as the rebellious teen Brody Jordan.
Brody is Stacey’s daughter who will cross paths with Billie. Stacey and Billie Proudman (Kat Stewart) are estranged friends. Brody has spent time in foster care since she has been damaged by her mother’s neglect, news.com.au reported.
