Pokemon Go is on its way to becoming one of the most popular Nintendo games ever.  The game just launched last week, but it has already surpassed other apps out there in terms of downloads and usage. The latest Pokemon game isn’t the only thing Nintendo has up their sleeves this year, though. The augmented reality used in the Pokemon game might represent the future of gaming, but the Japanese game developer will be bringing something back from the past. The company will relaunch the Nintendo Entertainment System. What does Nintendo New NES have in store for gamers Down Under?

The entertainment system was first released in 1983, but it was discontinued in 2008. Almost a decade later, the gaming giant decided to revisit the classic console. The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition will look a lot like the previous version. However, according to Gizmodo, it will be a little bit smaller than before.

The console and classic styled controller, along with the HDMI and USB cables, will cost AUD99.95. It also comes with 30 built-in games. Some of these games require two players. You can buy an additional controller for your Nintendo New NES for AUD19.95. However, as the tech blog pointed out, a Wii classic controller can also be used for this new version of NES.

Gamers in Australia might have to wait a little while longer for it, though. The new Nintendo NES will not launch Down Under until November 10.
