Nike is celebrating USA Independence Day 2015 early with the release of its “4th of July” collection. The basketball shoe series will also debut the KD 8, Kevin Durant’s signature shoe.
The Nike Independence Day collection will feature four pairs of kicks from some of NBA’s finest players. It includes Lebron James’ Lebron 12 sneaker, Kobe Bryant’s Kobe 10, Kyrie 1 from point guard Kyrie Irving, and the latest Durant pair, the KD 8. The collection will hit selected stores and online on Saturday, June 27.
The “4th of July” Lebron 12 sneakers has a predominant red color with prints of the USA flag. Tagged at $200, the pair’s official colorway is Light Crimson/Bright Crimson/Midnight Navy/White and described by Nike as “National colors and graphics celebrate the highlight of summer.”
It is available in both Men’s and Grade School sizes.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie is also dropping another colorway for Kyrie 1. With a caption of “Fireworks, hot dogs and plenty of good old fashioned freedom…these shoes know what we’re talking about. #USA,” the pair sports the colors Soar/White/Bright Crimson/Metallic Silver. The pair is available in Men’s sizes for $110 and Grade School for $100.
“Even though he grew up overseas, Kobe still knows how to rep red, white and blue,” Nike described of the “Fourth of July” Kobe 10. With the American Flag splattered over the sneakers, the University Red/Photo Blue/Reflect Silver shoe will sell for $180 for Men’s and $135 for GS sizes.
Finally, the great unveiling of the KD 8 has come! Durant’s eighth signature shoe will be dropping on Saturday for $180. With a dominant blue shade, the sneakers is “Durant’s most innovative Nike shoe,” described the athletics manufacturing giant.
It is also the first ever Nike basketball shoe to combine a Flyweave upper with a full-length Zoom Air unit. The pair is available on both Men’s and Grade School sizes.
