Nike is set to release the LeBron James 13 Elite “Gold” and Kevin Durant’s KD Elite Neutral on Thursday, May 5. Slam Online reported that both LeBron James 13 Elite “Gold” and KD Elite “Neutral” will be available starting at 10 a.m.
LeBron’s white/black/metallic gold edition has been dubbed as simply the Elite “Gold.” The metallic gold represents the Cleveland Cavalier star’s unyielding pursuit of an NBA title.
The “Gold” series shows a white upper with a metallic gold Swoosh branding on the forefoot, black Swoosh on the middle, a black collar, and a black carbon fibre shank that extends from the middle of the sole. The shoe features a black midsole covered in metallic gold speckles and it also has icy translucent outsole, FootWear News noted.
The LeBron James 13 Elite Gold also features some improvements from the previous LeBron 13 to make it even stronger and lighter. FootWear News noted that the kicks also include Kurim cage upper for a snug fit, a carbon fibre shank, and two additional Zoom Air sole units on each shoe. This brings the total of six soles united in each shoe.
According to the official website of Nike, the Elite was designed to give James dynamic lockdown, optimal stability and cushioning that is both articulated and responsive.
On the other hand, Durant’s new colorway has Tumbled Gray/Vivid Orange/Lunar Gray paint job.
Kicks on Fire wrote the KD 8 Elite takes a tonal approach with this Neutral colorway featuring timeless earth tones for versatility on and off the court.
Both sneakers will be available at nike.com and will have a retail tag of $200. It should be noted that both LeBron 13 Elite “Gold” and KD Elite “Neutral” are only available in Men’s sizing.
