Warner Bros. released a new trailer for their upcoming thriller-comedy,“The Nice Guy” which stars Ryan Gosling as Holland March and Russell Crowe as Jackson Healy. Holland (Ryan) is an unskilled private investigator who works with Jackson (Russell), an extremely violent hit man. The new trailer has certainly shown a few of the nastier comedic one-liner. Ryan and Russell, while maybe an unexpected comedic duo, look to be nailing Black’s sense of humor.

The trailer shows the noir takes place in the 1970s Los Angeles and revolves around solving a case of a missing young girl Amelia (Margaret Qualley) and the seemingly not related death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy involving many big names. These two soon discover that things are not really as simple as they look, since everyone related to the case is dying, says Collider.

As the plot dates back to the ’70s, we can get to see a lot of retro fashion in the trailer. Synthetic, polyester variety suits, wide collars, tight pants were paired with an appropriate-era facial hair and mustache.

The film was written and directed by Shane Black, who has given us hits like “Lethal Weapon,” “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang,”  “Edge,”  and “Iron Man 3” in the past. Entertainment Weekly reveals though Black, Ryan, and Russell are working with each other for the very first time, but they developed an instant connection. Black expressed in praising words saying, “Really great actors will feed on the other actor.”

Beside Gosling and Crowe, “The Nice Guy” includes actors such as Kim Basinger, as Amelia’s mother, who works for the Department of Justice, Matt Bomer, Margaret Qualley as Amelia, Keith David as Older Guy and Ty Simpkins as Bobby. Also stars Sandra Rosko as Comedy Store Waitress, Rachele Brooke Smith as Julie, Yvonne Zima as Red Thompson, Sala Baker as Bodyguard. Kim Basinger also seen in popular neo-noir “L.A. Confidential” with Russell Crowe.

While Ryan Gosling with his recent release “The Big Short,” left the audience with a wow feeling, Russel Crowe also impressed his fans in a great role of Jake Davis in “Fathers and Daughters.” Now the trailer has generated a lot of curiosity among the fans to see how this pair will fare together on screen.
