The Oakland Raiders will host the San Diego Charges on Thursday night’s NFL game on Dec. 24, at the Coliseum in Oakland, California starting 8:25 PM ET.
The game right before Christmas Day has all the ingredients for staging an epic clash. The Raiders are coming right after falling to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers 30-20 Sunday afternoon, as per the Raiders reports.
The Raiders will look to turn things around in their own backyard as they do not have enough time to dwell on the previous loss. The official Raiders’ website notes that the game is “A battle featuring two veteran coaches, one of whom has a defensive background (Del Rio) and the other (McCoy) an offensive one.
“There are some things that way, a knowledge of information, a base of information that you can work with,” said Head Coach Del Rio ahead of Thursday night’s game. “It’s a good place to start. Still, a lot of work that we’ll crank out and make sure that we prepare our football team as properly and as efficiently as possible as we lead into this game.”
After an 18-year long career, Charles Woodson announced his retirement at the end of 2015. The announcement came on Monday and it was very emotional for him to actualize the situation.
According to Bleacher Reports, both teams won’t worry about their play-offs but will play for pride and finality.
In their previous encounter the Chargers beat the Raiders 37-29 back in San Diego. The Raiders have a young side and look to capitalize on their home advantage to end the year on a winning note.
