The Chinese based phone manufacturer got its very first opportunity to compete with other Nexus brands like Motorola, LG and Samsung. Android users may soon also get to opt for Huawei Nexus 6.
Regarding look and feel, it’s hard to deny that big giants like Apple, Sony and OnePlus are leading the market. According to Phandroid, we have seen many rumored pre-launch images which flashes a very old and odd shaped back panel for the Huawei Nexus 6. It was very tough to believe, but yesterday Mr. Steve Hemmerstoffer from @OnLeaks leaked the back panel TPU case for the Huawei Nexus 6 which confirms the initial design leak.
Based on the leaked images, the dimensions of this Nexus device is expected to be approximately 160mm high x 78 mm wide and around 6 mm thick. There is a slight bump on the upper back side where the camera is mounted, this makes this device look little bit odd to handle.
Sites also note that one of the biggest disadvantages of the phone is the fingerprint scanner located at the back panel, just like the mistake made by Samsung. There are many folks willing to unlock the phone without lifting it up. Mounting the scanner on the front button seems to be a standard.
Aside from the fingerprint scanner, the phone will be packed with the Octa-Core 810 Snapdragon processor backed up with 4GB of RAM. It will support the 2K resolution display with the pixel density of 515ppi which is the most significant change in the nexus family. The phone will have 2 variants of internal storage: 32 and 64GB also with the expandable memory card option.
Huawei Nexus 6 is rumored to offer advanced version of USB type C connector with 64 Gigs of Internal storage. Its 5.7 inch screen size and massive improvements over tech specification will make this device the most expensive in the Nexus series.
As these are still rumors, the next Nexus is expected to launch alongside Android M and will be released by either LG or Huawei, or maybe both.
