One Direction Niall Horan could be the next 007 agent and “James Bond” himself, Daniel Craig, believed that the singer can do it.
Craig told Capital FM that Horan would be “absolutely fabulous” to play the British spy, after learning that Horan is interested in playing the role. He also referred to Horan as “a good man,” People magazine wrote.
In 2013, Horan expressed his interest of portraying the dashing spy character after the release of “Skyfall.”
When asked if the 22-year-old 1D member would be a good fit for Bond’s suit, Craig replied, “He would.”
The “Spectre” actor also gave Horan an advice: “Just enjoy it and make it the best you can,” said Craig.
“That’s all I’ve ever tried to do with these films is just make the movies as memorable as possible. Should I make another one or not make another one I’m proud of the four I’ve made,” he added.
Craig had recently confirmed no more 007 movies for him, saying he would rather slash his wrist than do another Bond movie. The 47-year-old actor added that if he did return as Bond it would be just for the money.
Several names of possible Craig’s replacement have surfaced since the actor hinted that “Spectre” will be his last.
Fellow British star Tom Hardy is leading the list of actors being eyed to be the new James Bond. Other names being pitched as possible 007 are: Idris Elba (Thor: The Dark World), Damian Lewis (Homeland), and Henry Cavill (Batman vs Superman).
Meanwhile, Directioners are definitely thrilled about the idea of Horan being “James Bond.”
One Direction is about to released its fifth album, “Made In The A.M.,” on November 13. The boy band earlier dropped “Perfect,” one of the tracks in the upcoming album.
1D will promote “Made In The A.M.” before they go on hiatus early next year.
