The Next James Bond is still unknown at the moment. While fans would love to see Daniel Craig as 007, the actor has already confirmed he’s done with the role. Meanwhile, there’s a possibility for a Bond girl version. If the final selection will be between Kristen Stewart and Margot Robbie, who will likely snag the iconic role?

There has never been a Bond girl before. News fuelled as X Files actress Gillian Anderson posted a tweet last May referring to a Jane Bond. Her tweet reads, “It’s Bond. Jane Bond. Thanks for all the votes! (And sorry, don’t know who made poster but I love it!) #NextBond.” A photo accompanied her caption putting the actress as the first female 007 agent. From then on, there were rumours on the possibility of having James Bond’s girl version.

Twilight star Kristen Stewart made a comment on the possible girl version. She told E! News how this new character will be able to change the norm. She said, “You start off as the Bond girl and then you think it’s just the girlfriend and then you’re like, ‘She’s actually [Bond].'”However, she didn’t really admit whether she wanted to land the role or not.

Now, Suicide Squad cast Margot Robbie seems to be a strong contender for the role. Should the filmmakers go with Jane Bond, the Australian actress is a hot favourite among Hollywood’s actresses. According to The Daily Telegraph, Robbie earned a 12/1 – ahead of Emily Blunt’s 16/1. Behind them are Emily Ratajkowski on 22/1 and Emma Watson at 40/1 on Paddy Power rankings.

But, if ever they’d stick with the male Bond, Theo James and Tom Hiddleston’s names are in. Some reports claimed that the final selection will be between the two actors. It seems Robbie has a fair chance to be his leading lady. In past films, Eva Green, Halle Berry, Denise Richards and Rosamund Pike played alongside previous Bond actors.

After starring in the film Legend of Tarzan, fans will then see Margot Robbie as the crazy Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad.
