Samsung aficionados are in for a treat as the Korean tech-company could potentially be coming out with a Galaxy tablet featuring a mean 18.4-inch Full HD Screen. After outing super-sized versions of smartphones, its aiming to go large-sized on the tablet front as well.
Sam Mobile, with a track-record of releasing correct information on all things Samsung, has revealed that the offering sports a TFT LCD screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Codenamed “Tahoe,” the tablet runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by octa-core 64-bit 1.6GHz Exynos 7580 processor.
If the specs on the device doesn’t already make it a thing to watch-out-for, the tablet also features a 2.1MP front facing camera and an 8GB one on the back. The offering is expected to come in a 451.8mm x 275.8mm x 11.9mm casing.
As reported by Daily Mail, the tablet weighs 5 lbs, which is much heavier than the current Apple Air in the market. The site also mentions that this device will be going head-to-head with the Panasonic Toughpad, making headlines for being a 20-inch 4K tablet, running Windows.
A lot of tablets will be crowding the scene this fall, however, none have been said to be featuring a huge 18-inch screen as this offering. With the size of the tablet, it can be predicted that the device could be shipping with an S Pen, also given Samsung’s affection for the object.
There is no word on the pricing or when the company intends to release it out. However, fans can keep coming back for updates on this new tablet.
