Australian soap “Neighbours” offers its fans a chance to spend a night at Karl Kennedy’s house at the iconic Ramsay Street.
The show’s house at a fictional Melbourne suburb has been listed on accommodation website Airbnb to give its viewers a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet their favorite actors on set.
At stake on the show’s special promotion are: an evening on the fictional Ramsay Street home and dining with some of the cast, News.com.au reported. Alan Fletcher, who portrays Dr. Karl, will be joined by Chris Milligan, who plays handyman Kyle Canning, for dinner with the two lucky visitors. Fletcher may also serenade the promo winner with one of Karl’s trademark guitar ballads, News.com.au added.
After a night spent at Karl’s house, guests will have breakfast with the cast and crew in the cafeteria, choosing from Harold’s diner menu, Sky News wrote.
Winners will also get a chance to explore the “Neighbours” studio, which features the house interiors, Harold’s store, Lassiter’s Lake as well as The Waterhole.
Airbnb’s Australia and New Zealand manager Sam McDonagh said this is the first time viewers of the long-running TV drama have a chance to sleepover at the set.
“This Neighbours listing provides an unforgettable travel experience for Aussie, UK and Kiwi fans, where they get to make Ramsay Street their home for the night,” McDonagh said, notes News.com.au.
Sky News reported “The Neighbours” set will be transformed into an Airbnb hotel-style room with all the mod cons.
“Stay at Neighbours” contest will run through August 28, while the stay at Ramsay Street is scheduled on September 7.
Visit www.airbnb.com/neighbours to join the contest. Fans must explain, in 25 words or less, why they would like to spend a night on “Neighbours” set and submit their entry before deadline.
Yahoo TV described “Neighbours”as the longest running Australian drama series and launched the careers of international stars including Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbruglia, Guy Pearce, Delta Goodrem, and Margot Robbie.
