NCIS Season 14: Premiere Date, Spoilers and More!

NCIS Season 14

The much-awaited changes in NCIS Season 14 are about to begin on Tuesday (Sept 20).

Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs will be having a roommate this season – Special Agent Tobias C. Fornell.

Fans have known that Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Fornell (Joe Spano) share a lot in common. Fornell’s late wife was Gibbs’ former wife. The two stood by each other in times of crises. In NCIS Season 14, showrunner Gary Glasberg teased that the two veteran agents will be much closer than they used to be. “Be prepared, because it’s some wonderful, light, funny stuff,” Glasberg said.

Then comes the tension at work. Gibbs will find himself struggling to find who he thinks is a suitable replacement for Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly). The charming agent left NCIS to raise his daughter to former fellow agent Ziva David.

Weatherly, who left the show after the Season 13 finale, previously admitted that he misses playing DiNozzo. The actor is set to play the lead role in CBS’ new drama Bull.

Undercover agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) will also make his debut this season. In the premiere episode titled Rogue, Gibbs and the rest of his team will investigate a deadly car explosion that will lead them to Agent Torres. The agent disappeared while on an undercover assignment in Argentina and was presumed dead.

Gibbs will eventually invite Torres to join the NCIS team. However, Torres, being a lone wolf for many years, does not exactly play well with others. Valderrama revealed to New York Post that there will be major clashing coming in NCIS Season 14.

On whether Nick and Alex will be the love interest this season, Valderrama hinted that the two had some connection before and that is something that might be explored throughout the season.

Meanwhile, MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry) will also come back in the Navy Yard. Reeves assisted Gibbs in capturing a rogue agent last season.

NCIS Season 14 premieres on Tuesday, Sept 20, at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
