NCIS Los Angeles Season 8 Episode 11 will not be airing in the show’s usual timeslot this coming Sunday. Unfortunately for fans of the series, NCIS LA will be taking a two week hiatus before finally airing the Christmas special on Dec. 18.
The upcoming episode is aptly titled “Tidings We Bring.” Spoilers Guide was luckily able to obtain the official synopsis for the episode, which is not yet widely available.
According to the site, Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly) will be back in action. In this episode, she will pair up with Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J), while G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) will be partnering up with Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen).
There will be a musical chairs of partners within the agency, and the new pairings will work together for the investigation into the disappearance of a Navy Lieutenant Commander who was working on cyber threat cases.
Apart from the serious stuff, the episode will also feature the NCIS Los Angeles team celebrating the holidays together. That means there will likely be an update on Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and her recovery.
In the last two episodes, Kensi has shown major progress in her recovery from the helicopter crash early in the season. After having a baby in real life, is actress Daniela Ruah finally ready to jump back in NCIS LA action?
Meanwhile, another NCIS LA actor who may have been facing a medical situation off-camera is Miguel Ferrer. He continues to appear in the show as Assistant Director Owen Granger, but he is looking increasingly frail and is speaking with an obvious slur.
Various reports have claimed that the actor has suffered from a stroke. Health Aim also mentions the possibility of colon cancer. Nothing has so far been confirmed and Ferrer continues to appear on the show. It remains to be seen if he will be around to celebrate Christmas with the rest of the team on NCIS Los Angeles Season 8 Episode 11.
The show returns on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2017 at 8:00 P.M. ET on CBS.
