NBA trade rumors are warming up for Philadelphia 76ers Jahlil Okafor. Once again, Boston Celtics are on the other side of the rumored deal. However, it does not seem that the deal will go smoothly for both sides.

Boston Celtics

The Celtics are all over the place when it comes to NBA trade rumors. Eyeing Russell Westbrook and Blake Griffin, the Celtics are rumored to be looking at the third viable option for a center. And that is Jahlil Okafor. Though Okafor is not as well known as the previous two, he has the skills Celtics need for a center.

However, reports have come in that the Boston Celtics may be seeing Okafor’s off court behavior as a deterrent in them making the deal. Last Thanksgiving, Jahlil was involved in two street fights. He was also caught over speeding at the Ben Franklin Bridge.

Despite these altercations, Boston Celtics know that Okafor has the talent they are currently missing in the team. Okafor also fetches a relatively low price for a center which Westbrook and Griffin’s names won’t give them.

Philadelphia 76ers

Meanwhile, Philadelphia 76ers are reported to be wary of trading their big star. Though their NBA Draft 2016 decisions sent alarming bells that Okafor may be up on the trading plate, they would still like to get as much as they can for the center.

Despite Jahlil Okafor’s great season and being a top scorer for the 76ers, his team has covered that up with their no. 1 draft pick Ben Simmons.

Meanwhile, the NBA trade rumors are saying Boston Celtics refuse to name a higher number for the 20-year old center, the 76ers will sit tight and wait for the highest bidder for Okafor.

Jahlil Okafor’s Future

Though the 20-year old has a knack for getting into trouble out of the basketball court, spectators have praised the young center for his basketball IQ and high scoring statistics, CBS Sports notes. However, his defense clearly needs a lot of improvement. If he wants to cement his name in NBA, he needs to work on his defense. Aside from his basketball weakness, his behavior is more than enough to erase confidence in Okafor’s future.
