The San Antonio Spurs will take on the Los Angeles Lakers at the AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX, on Tuesday, 15 March, starting 8:30 PM ET.
The Spurs have improved their record to 56-10 and they now stand only behind the Golden State Warriors. Needless to say, the Spurs have been terrific at home after a 41-home wining streak. Their fame has somewhat been shadowed by the exceptional Steph Curry led team. The Warriors now stand at 60-6.
The home team has been very tough to beat at home and Los Angeles Clipper will have to bank on some luck to invade the AT&T Center fortress.
The official NBA site quotes, “The Spurs (56-10) moved past Orlando for the third-best home streak with Saturday’s 93-85 win over Oklahoma City in the second of a season-high five-game home-stand that figures to test San Antonio’s home fortitude like no other. It began Thursday with a 109-101 win over Chicago, and Portland and Golden State follow the Clippers.”
“This is the best time of the year. These are the best tests that we can have to prepare us for the playoffs,” guard Danny Green said. “Joking with (newly signed) Kevin Martin earlier, he thought he was going to come in and get some warmup games, but it’s probably the toughest part of the schedule for us and he’s thrown into the fire. So, good luck.”
The Clippers have also reached a record of 42-23, but the only worrying factor is Blake Griffin’s injury. They have been previously beaten by the Spurs in their own backyard, the previous month, and the visiting team will feel the heat this time too.
