The Golden State Warriors will travel to Oklahoma City to take up the challenge against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Saturday, Feb. 27, starting 8:30 PM ET.
According to the NBA sources, the Warriors surely look unstoppable now as they beat the Orlando Magic to take their record to 52-5. Records keep tumbling down each time they set foot on any turf. From the historic start in the NBA to the fastest team to reach 50-wins, the Warriors have touched all. The only one record which doesn’t seem far now, is the Chicago Bulls’ 1995-96 record of 72 wins.
And what do we say about Steph Curry’s form? Curry made 10 3-pointers and scored 51 points in Thursday night’s 130-114 victory over the Orlando Magic. “I was laughing, sure. That really isn’t supposed to happen,” Fox Sports quoted Curry as saying.
“I made a bunch of 3s in the third quarter and then finished with that one,” he added. “It was really funny to me, it just banked off the glass.”
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been consistent too this season. But when it comes to comparing their record to the Warriors, they don’t really stand a chance. The Thunder have extended their record to 41-17. They are only trailing behind the Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs in the league standings.
”Man we’re not scared of either one of these teams,” Durant said. ”We’re going to play our game. Nobody in this locker room is scared. We have to play them. If we want to get to where we want to get to, we have to play them. We’re not ducking anybody.”
