“NBA 2K16” will be offering new features and game modes that fans will definitely enjoy. Among the upgrades added to the upcoming video game is the NBA Summer League gameplay and new game achievements which reveal info about MyCareer, MyGM and MyLeague.
Shortly after the off-season league commenced, 2K Sports confirmed that the upcoming NBA title will be incorporating the games as one of its features.
“The #SummerLeague has kicked off and is coming to #NBA2K16! Prepare for your future. #BeTheStory,“ the game developers tweeted.
The NBA Summer League is a set of matches where teams get to try out and even scout NBA rookies, sophomores and some of the top undrafted prospects.
The gameplay was last featured in “NBA 2K11”. It was a part of the MyPlayer game mode, so it was also expected that the “2K16” version will also incorporate the feature in its MyCareer mode. However, according to True Achievements, Summer League will be added to the MyGM and MyLeague modes.
In the list of “NBA 2K16” achievements released by the site, gamers who “Play a Summer League game in MyGM/MyLEAGUE” will receive the “Summertimeeeeee” achievement.
One achievement on the list also seems to hint that the MyCareer mode will also start even before the NBA Drafts, and gamers have the choice of when to join the drafts. The “I’m Going Pro, Capeesh?” achievement is received when the players “Declare your intentions to enter the NBA Draft.”
Other items on the list also support Spike Lee’s description of the upcoming game.
“It’s about the trials and tribulations of life on a big stage with the money, fame, temptations, family members, the press, fans, all that stuff,” the director told ESPN.
