2K Sports has unveiled a new trailer for “NBA 2K16”, titled “Create Your Own Style,” in time for the upcoming release of the video game and its mobile companion app.
“NBA 2K16” inked partnership with life apparel brands to provide wide range selection of new gears to allow gamers to create endless style combinations for themselves or their team.
2K also revealed that Paul George will be the cover athlete for the “NBA 2K16” Companion app – the “MyNBA2K16”.
George also confirmed the news on his Twitter account.
George told IGN, “I’ve been a long-time fan of the ‘NBA 2K’ series and love staying close to the game when I’m on the road.”
IGN explained that “MyNBA2K16” allows players to stay constantly connected to “NBA 2K”, including a MyCareer display and the MyPlayer story.
NBA.com added that the free companion app allows users to earn extra virtual currency which can be used to unlock various features and upgrades in the game. The app also has a chat feature that allows gamers to talk with other players.
2K assured the most authentic NBA gaming experience yet in the upcoming game with animations that will make the gaming experience smoother and more fun.
This year’s version of the game has three different cover athletes — reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry, New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis, and Houston Rockets guard James Harden will also grace the cover of NBA 2K16.
According to NBA.com, all of the four NBA superstars have a strong chance at landing a spot on the United States men’s national team that will compete in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
“NBA 2K16” will be launched on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC platforms on Sept. 29 while the companion app will be available starting on October 1.
2K will accept pre-orders of NBA 2K16 on Sept 25. The package also include free 10,0000 VC and MyTEAM VP.
