‘My Kitchen Rules’ 2016: Tasia, Gracia Quit Ahead of Finale?

My Kitchen Rules

Tasia and Gracia Seger are a formidable sibling duo and most likely to win “My Kitchen Rules.” In a recent interview, however, the sisters revealed about quitting the show.

“I became really stressed and cried all the time,” shares Gracia. She also informed that both of them mulled over pulling out of the competition because of the stress. She revealed that it was hurting them and their relationship.
The sister duo explained it further in an interview with New Idea magazine. “My Kitchen Rules” also tested their sisterly bond in a run up to the finals. Their relationship faced the heat, and they felt that they needed some time-out, explains Daily Mail.

“On MKR there is no space, so we argued a lot,” said Tasia. “I got to the point where I was like ‘I need to see other people, I can’t be in the same room as you anymore,’” she added. The revelations came ahead of their Grand Final that is set to take place today.

The spice sisters will go head to head with Carmine and Lauren for the $250,000 “My Kitchen Rules” prize. The Adelaide couple sent the mum-son team of Anna and Jordan packing in yesterday’ second semis. They not only impressed the judges with their classic menus but also with their simple ingredients.

According to, their entrée of seared scallops with pea cream and speck gave them a great start. They served another classic for their mains. The chicken from their sous vide chicken with smoked potato puree and brussel sprouts were beautifully cooked. The jus too was just right. Judge Manu Feildel remarked that theirs was the best jus he’s had in the competition.

Chef Colin Fassnidge revealed that their chicken was a “lesson on how to cook chicken.” The team’s dessert of grilled peach with yoghurt mousse and peach sorbet impressed the judges yet again. “When I see peaches like this — poached skin removed, just the blush on the peach — it just sings of summer to me,” said Fassnidge. “It’s a sunshine dish, it’s a happy dish. And I love the texture of the nuts and the sauce. I love the yoghurt,” he added.

The teams will fight for the grand prize in tonight’s final. May the best team win!
