After experiencing thumping success in the first season, Murder Made Me Famous Season 2 is here. The teaser on the official Facebook page shows the season to feature Charles Manson, one of the deadliest criminal cases in the American history.  Who is he? Here is his profile.

Manson is a convicted serial killer. In the late 1960s, he formed a hippie cult group known as “The Family”. The psychopath used to manipulate this group into brutally killing others on his behalf. Born in 12, 1934, Manson is still alive and serving life sentence.

The Facebook page shows the video clipping  with a note reading – one of the most notorious crimes in American history kicks off the Murder Made Me Famous Season 2 next Saturday at 9ET/PT and features Mansion.

Also known as Charles Milles Maddox, Charles Milles Manson, he had a troubled childhood and started his criminal journey when he was nine by stealing, graduating to burglary of cars. By the age of 23 he was identified as con man with a record of one year of imprisonment too. In 1960, he was arrested again.

In the jail, he met infamous Alvin “Creepy” Karpis, former member of Ma Barker’s gang, who taught him playing steel guitar. Manson started composing songs and decided to take a musical career. After seven years, on his release from jail, he started his musical journey and got good followers. The Beach Boys record one of Manson’s songs, which came as “Never Learn Not to Love” on the B-side of their 20/20 album. However, that was the end of his singing career which left him upset.

Manson and some of his followers moved to the Spahn Ranch and it became a cult compound for “the Family.” A pro at manipulating minds, he formed his own philosophy by taking pieces from various religions.

In 1968, with the release of Beatles’ White Album in 1968, Manson said their song “Helter Skelter” predicted an upcoming race war which was going to occur in the summer of 1969. That is when blacks were going to rise up and slaughter all the white people.  However, it didn’t happen. He declared he and his followers must show the blacks how to do it.

On August 9, 1969, four of Manson’s followers on his behest brutally murdered Tate, her unborn baby, and four others .The following night, Manson’s followers slaughtered Leno and Rosemary LaBianca in their home.

After several months of investigations, in December 1969, Manson and many of his followers were arrested. On January 25, Manson was found guilty of first-degree murder and plotting murder. On March 29, 1971, Manson was sentenced to death and in 1972 he was reprieved from the death penalty.
