This mum had no idea that the Chewbacca mask she had bought would turn into a stardom magnet, causing the Star War fans to break the internet.
Candace Payne is the 37-year-old mother of two, from Texas, who shared a video of her wearing the mask, while laughing frantically at herself.
In the video, Cayne is wearing a Star-Wars mask which has an additional “roar” sound, adding a pinch of fun to her laughs.
She said that the mask looking so happy in the video and it was so funny.
“I could see myself in the camera, and I saw this view and I could not stop laughing at how gleeful Chewbacca looked,” she said.
“I thought, ‘Chewbacca’s found his joy!”
The video has garnered more than 83,000,000 views. It is the most watched video live on Facebook ever.
“That’s just crazy,” Payne said in a report to BBC.
“I’m just laughing – in all honesty, that is ridiculous. I’ve looked at the number of views and it just seems like someone is just playing with a calculator.”
Cayne went to Kohl department store to make some returns. There she stumbled upon this Chewbacca mask and decided to buy it for her son.
As she was making the video, people stared at her weirdly, which she didn’t care about.
Moreover, the video has also increased the sales of the Chewbacca mask because it is featured in the video.
CNBC reports that the sales of the mask at several toy stores has increased after the video.
A spokeswoman for ToysRUs said: “In the last day or so, we’ve seen the popularity of StarWars: The Force Awakens Chewbacca Electronic Mask increase tremendously among our consumers both in-store and online.”
Well, this is not the first time that she has recorded a live video. She often shares interesting moments with her friends and family members on Facebook.
