Motorola’s Moto X line-up is rumored to be rebranded as Moto Z. The Lenovo-owned company is expected to unveil the brand new Moto Z series at the Lenovo Tech World Conference 2016 on June 9. Now, corroborating previous speculations, a recently surfaced render reveal key Moto Z specs.

A set of leaked images of the anticipated smartphone indicates that the Moto Z specs sheet would include replaceable modular back covers. Just few days ahead of its launch hellomotoHK has published images of colorful back covers on its official Google+ page.

The set of images surfaced online display number of replaceable rear panel covers for an upcoming phone. The replaceable back covers appear in different textures like leather, ballistic nylon and wood. Additionally, the image also indicated that purported Moto Z might feature a protruding rear camera unit, placed at the center of the back panel.

Recent reports suggested that the Lenovo-owned company has already registered a trademark on the “Moto Z” with the US Patent and Trademarks Office (USPTO). According to prevailing rumors, this year Motorola would bring in modular handsets which can be customizable by MotoMods. These replaceable back covers are also believed to add various features to the Moto Z handsets.

The rumored Moto Z smartphone is said to come in two variants including Moto Z Play and Moto Z Style. Motorola is said to follow the same naming pattern as the existing Moto X series.

The Moto Z Play will reportedly feature 5.5-inch Full-HD display. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, the smartphone is said to arrive in 16GB or 32GB storage variants.

On the other hand, the Moto Z Style is rumored to tout Quad HD display with 5.5-inch screen. The smartphone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. Other speculated Moto Z Style specs include a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2,600 mAh battery unit.
