Motorola Moto G 2016 Leak Shows 5.5-inch 1080p Display; Release Date & Specs Here

Motorola Moto G4

The 4th generation Motorola Moto G has recently been creating a number of headlines over its speculated launch date. With Motorola holding two simultaneous events on May 17 in two different cities across the world, it is widely believed that the D-day will soon be upon us. So, a recent leak only sheds more light on what to expect from the upcoming device.

This recent leak, then, only sheds more light on what we can expect from the upcoming device. According to report on GSM Arena, what is said to be the front panel assembly of the 4th generation Moto G has found it way onto eBay. The images give a good glimpse of the device’s display size and resolution. If the leak is to be believed then the writing on the connector as seen on the back panel of the offering suggests that it’s a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) part.

On the other hand, the front panel shows a cut out where the home button would be placed. If the images are true then this clearly signifies that the offering will boast of a fingerprint sensor. This also sits in well with the earlier reports were Motorola announced that all upcoming Moto devices will feature a biometric authentication method.

There were also rumours about the Moto G 2016 series having two models. One will be a regular variant while the other will be its larger sibling. Going by the screen size on this one, it appears that the innards could belong to the phablet-sized model, the Moto G4 Plus. It is also being predicted that the smaller version of the Moto G4 will feature a 5-inch or a 5.2-inch display. This also stems from the company sharing that the upcoming models under the Moto branding would possess screens larger than 5-inch ones.

In case the device doesn’t arrive during this month, the next expected date for the smartphone to launch is believed to be June 9 as Lenovo CEO has also set the date for an “exciting” product launch.
