With the year coming to an end, leaks and rumors about the flagships gearing up to arrive next year have already begun to surface, and Motorola’s Moto X 2016 is no exception to this. What appears to be the device’s leaked images have surfaced online.
CnBeta got it hands on images of what is allegedly the Moto X 2016 and what will strike fans immediately is the radical design change in comparison to the device’s predecessors. The image shows the rear panel of the device in question, in all its metal and glass glory. As witnessed on the previous models, the back often has a casing of a different material and is up for customizations through the Moto Maker. As noted by Tech Radar, the “badass” design is a fry cry from the ones seen on the previous variants.
Fans can take a look at the images here.
Another feature which stands out in the image is the camera on the rear panel. It shows off a big lens and a company logo sans the accent which in previous models connects the two. While this probably gives a glimpse into what to expect in terms of the design, details about upgrades on the inside have also surfaced.
According to report on Talk Android, Moto X 2016 may arrive powered by a Snapdragon 820 chispet. The leaked image may be under question over whether it’s the next-gen Moto X design but it is quite likely that the handset may come powered by the new Qualcomm processor, since by the time the flagship does launch, fans will expect to arrive with nothing less than the Snapdragon 820.
However, take this leak with a huge pinch of salt given that the Moto X 2016 is speculated to launch in the latter half of 2016. Not only is it too early for such leaks but also some of the radical design changes in the image seem like a bit of a stretch. Expect more accurate predictions and leaks during mid next year and come back for more updates.
