“Mortal Kombat XL” is gearing up to arrive for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in March this year.
This retitled version will be packing in “bonus content featured in the downloadable Kombat Pack and Kombat Pack 2 add-ons, along with the core Mortal Kombat X game,” as shared by Digital Trends. It is noteworthy that the first Kombat Pack includes star Jason Voorhees, as a playable character.
With previous years Kombat Pack, ardent gamers witnessed the additions of Tanya and Tremors onto the new characters list, arriving from “Mortal Kombat 4” and “Mortal Kombat: Special Forces,” respectively. Furthermore, in 2015 a new playable character dubbed as the Predator was added to the list.
The yet-to-be launched Kombat Pack 2 will be bringing in four new characters to “Mortal Kombat X.” These include Leatherface featured in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Xenomorph from the movie, Alien (1979). The other two characters read out to be: Bo’ Rai Cho and Triborg from “Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance” as well as a completely new character with deadly special powers.
What’s more? As reported by Event Hubs, The Pit, a new backdrop, will arrive for no additional cost with the Mortal Kombat XL compatibility update. This means that gamers won’t have to purchase the new content in order to get their hands on “The Pit.” Those with “Mortal Kombat X” will be able to indulge in the new backdrop through a free download expected to be rolled out on March 1 with rest of the Mortal Kombat XL.
