‘Mortal Kombat X’ DLC Download: New Characters, Skins & Environment Revealed

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Entertainment revealed that “Mortal Kombat X” will be receiving new in-game features for gamers to enjoy.

The game developers revealed via its official site, that the video game will be receiving four new characters to be added via a new DLC in the first half of 2016. Aside from the playable characters, the DLC called “Kombat Pack 2” will include new skins will also arrive next year, as well as a new environment.

“Four new additions to Mortal Kombat X’s ever-growing roster of body-desecrating, inter-dimensional warriors,” ScreenRant wrote.

“Part of what makes this particularly fun is that the new additions aren’t restricted to classic Mortal Kombat characters, but could come from entirely different properties.”

The new characters have not been revealed yet, but several name have already been tossed into the mix. Based on a photo released by “Mortal Kombat” co-creator and NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon, ScreenRant shared some of its best guesses.

Aside from the silhouette looking like Baraka, the character also had a small role in the video game’s Story Mode. Notably, the site noted that several gamers were able to jailbreak Baraka and play the character.

CinemaBlend also predicts the same character. “Looking at the first character in the image definitely seems to have the outline of Baraka’s wristblades. The getup definitely seems to have a Baraka vibe to it based on the silhouette.”

The Joker

Ed Boon believes that adding a Marvel character to the roster of players seems like a good idea, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Joker being added to the mix.

Bo’ Rai Cho

According to ScreenRant, one of the silhouettes in the photo looks like Bo’ Rai Cho who also had a role in Story Mode.

“Using the logic we’ve employed to guess the other three characters, we think there’s a solid chance that the Drunken Fist style is set to return.”

Other predictions include Noob Saibot, Elvira, ‘Star Wars 7’ Kylo Ren and Indiana Jones.

We will keep an eye on further updates on the new “Mortal Kombat X” DLC.
