“Captain Marvel” could be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe’s movie that will showcase a heroine as a protagonist. Since its announcement, a list of female Hollywood celebrities that could portray the lead role has been visible on the Internet: among them is “The Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence.

During her interview with Comic Book Resources, JLaw was asked if she would love to play with the likes of Bradley Cooper and Chris Pratt in the MCU sandbox:

“Well, Yes! I would love to play in a sandbox with those two!” she said.

However, Cinema Blend noticed that her statement seemed “vague and open ended.” Notably, she did not emphasized whether she would love to play in the “MCU sandbox;” which was asked,  or if she intended to give an interesting answer.

Aside from that, JLaw provided no other official statement regarding “Captain Marvel.”

On the other hand, another actress that made it to the list of possible Captain Marvel is Alice Eve.

According to Film Fad, the actress showed willingness in playing a superhero role.

“You know I’m a huge fan of the Marvel movies,” Eve said.

“So yeah, I’m a huge fan of theirs and I think Kevin [Feige] is an incredibly talented man who has turned this thing around. So, yeah if the thing was right, I’d love to talk to them,” she added.

Additionally, Movie Pilot cited other famous actress such as Olivia Wilde, Yvonne Strahovski, Katee Sackhoff and Emily Blunt- who was almost casted as Black Widow and Agent Peggy Carter in “Captain America The First Avenger.”

And, let us not forget that in a previous article we wrote, MMA champion fighter Ronda Rousey might be the one who fits the role.

Meanwhile, let us keep an eye for more details regarding this exciting film. “Captain Marvel” premieres on March 2019.
