He was in the news and he was a viral sensation, but for all the wrong reasons. In what can be termed as the gaffe of the year, Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner of the Miss Universe 2015 beauty contest.

Steve Harvey, who hosted the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, made a mistake while announcing the winner of the competition. He misread his cue card and announced Miss Colombia as the winner. In reality, it was Miss Philippines who had actually won the crown. Despite the faux pas, Harvey and Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutiérrez, will come face-to-face in a two-day TV pecial hosted by none other than Harvey himself.

According to news.com.au, Steve Harvey will have a chat with Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and Ariadna Gutiérrez about their thoughts and feelings in the last crowing moments of the Miss Universe competition. The teaser shows him saying, “I am looking forward to talking with her (Miss Colombia) because I felt horrible for both of you. There’s so much I want to say, but I’m truly sorry, I wish we all could have gotten it right.”

The two-part series entitled “Miss Universe: The Truth” will get the three of them together on one page. According to People.com, Harvey mentions in the promo about the sleepless nights the mistake had caused him. “This has caused a lot of sleepless nights for me,” Harvey says in the promo clip. “I didn’t do any interviews until I could talk to the two people who were affected the most, Pia and Ariadna. No matter how tough it was for me, I can’t imagine how it was for these two women. This finally gives me a chance to have a moment of closure,” he added.

Have the girls moved past this “honest” mistake? Have they forgiven Steve Harvey? We will need to watch “Miss Universe: The Truth” for that.
