It has been about seven months now since the world was introduced to the Surface Book. Now, rumours and speculations surrounding the Microsoft Surface Book 2 are swarming the Internet.
As noted by PhoneArena, rumours are rife that the tech giant intends to line up the launch of the new offering with that of Intel’s 7th generation of i5 and i7 chips. These 7th generation processors are produced by employing the 14nm process and expected to deliver much higher performance. Speculations are rife that the Surface Book 2 will be receiving a major upgrade. The upcoming offering could be embedded with a 4K display. Fans may recollect that its predecessor featured a 2000 x 3000 resolution screen. Furthermore, the new Surface Book is said to sport a Type-C port for speedier data transfer.
Microsoft Surface Book 2 is widely speculated to be launching as early as next month. However, if we go by the product cycle, it can also be predicted that the offering will be introduced to the world sometime in October this year. However, as noted by Delhi Daily News, Microsoft has already started with its promotional advertisements for Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book. This could be indication enough that the Surface Book 2 could be landing sooner rather than later. If it does land in June then it may go head-to-head with the MacBook Pro 2016 lineup which is also speculated to be arriving next month at the company’s WWDC.
Naturally, there are no details about the price and such but buyers will have the option to get hold of the device in different specifications. The arrival of the Surface Book 2 will ensure that the Surface Book prices witness a drop.
