The biggest fashion event of the year Met Gala, is taking place in the New York City. The theme for 2016 is “Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology.” Some of the biggest A-list celebrities are present at the event.
Majority of the celebrities wore shades of metallic so as to match with the theme of technology and machines. Kim Kardashian, who arrived with her husband Kanye West looked stunning in metallic, beaded Balmain.
Beyonce was the last celebrity to arrive on the red carpet at 8:40 p.m. in a nude-colored Givenchy dress that also had mettalic embeddings and showed off her sexy body. There were no signs of Jay Z at the event; the singer arrived alone. The singer who recently released her album Lemonade was not in the event to discuss the infidelity of her husband but instead to tell us about her dressing time. She told New York Times: “It was actually a lot easier than last year.” Kanye West was seen wearing a loose fitting metallic jacket with coloured contact lens which made his eyes appear blue.
Singer Madonna wore a black lace Givenchy dress by Riccardo Tisci.
Taylor Swift and Idris Elba were the co-chair members of the gala. Taylor Swift looked like a robo-chic in her Louis Vuitton metallic silver-black dress with black lipstick. Yes, the 27-year-old singer strictly adhered to the theme.
