The three-day outdoor music festival  popularly known as  Meredith Festival is returning in 2016. The organizers have dropped a grand lineup once again. Meredith Music Festival 2016 is the 26th edition of the festival.

The festival is headlined by Canadian electronic musician and performance artist Peaches who will be performing with Prince’s one-time musical director and lover funk phenomenon Sheila E. A few other big names featured on the bill are Canadian jazz/hip-hop trio BadBadNotGood and indie darling Angel Olsen.

Meredith Music Festival 2016 has signed up some of Australia’s most excellent non-stop music making machines. Melbourne psych-rockers King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Sydney indie dance-rock act Jagwar Ma and Perth alt-rock legends The Triffids are the top names on the list.

If you are thinking that’s all, then you are highly mistaken. Ethiopian-American R&B diva Kelela is making a comeback. Likewise, Japandroids are making their first live appearance in three years. Fabled Indigenous Australian singer Archie Roach will also grace the occasion.

Meredith Music Festival 2016 will run from Friday, December 9, to Sunday, December 11, in Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, Meredith. It is 100 km west of Melbourne and is one of the best music festivals of Australia. Right from the beginning, the festival has been attracting artists from various genres, and Meredith Music Festival 2016 is no exception.

According to MUSICFEEDS, Music Festival 2016 tickets are allocated through a ballot system that is open right now. You can enter your name up until Tuesday, August 16. Those who haven’t already successfully won tickets through the ballot can try their luck in  selected stores. Tickets are also available online on Wednesday, August 24.
