Actress Megan Fox and husband, Brian Austin Green, have reportedly separated after five years of marriage.
Us Weekly cited a source who said Fox, 29, has separated from Green, 42, and the couple has decided to go separate ways six months ago.
The couple has been together for almost 11 years.
The magazine added the reason of the breakup remains unclear although one of its sources close to the couple has said “things have been rocky” between the two.
The Daily Mail however reported, citing Us Weekly, the tension in the Megan-Brian relationship was due to her constant absence as she made films.
Fox has been in New York City this summer filming the upcoming sequel to “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie. She also recently made “Zeroville” with James Franco and Will Ferrell.
The Daily Mail wrote the source said, “They fight about her career. She was obsessed with getting roles.”
It added another reason for the tension was the renovation on their $3.35 million home. Apparently, it was her “pet project” but Megan did not see it through.
“They [Fox and Green] will always love each other very much and are devoted to their kids. Anything could happen in the future, but for now they’ve decided it’s best to take some time apart,” an insider told PEOPLE.
Megan and Brian have two sons, Noah Shannon, 2, and Bodhi Ransom, 18 months. The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star is also a father to Kassius, 13, from his previous relationship.
The couple first met in 2004 when Green appeared on her show “Hope & Faith.” Fox, who was 18 at the time, said “It was like magic,” Us Weekly wrote.
The “Transformers” star and Green tied the knot in Hawaii in 2010 after two engagements. They first got engaged in November 2006 but it was called off in February 2009. Brian proposed again in June 2010 and they wed less than a month later.
The couple or their reps have yet to issue a comment on the separation.
They were last seen together on June 9 in Beverly Hills. In July, Megan was spotted in LA without her wedding ring on.
