We all have tried to make burgers at home in a bid to make them more healthy. We want ours to taste like Macca’s, but, at the same time, not as fattening. Well, here is some good news. Now you can take care of the healthy part and Macca’s will help you manage the taste. The burger chain is now selling its most loved Big Mac Special Sauce in 500 ml bottles in select outlets.

The bottles are limited edition. TheVine says that McDonald’s will release only 4,000 bottles which will be available in at least two stores in every state in Australia. According to the Illawarra Mercury, this move from McDonald’s is a follow up on last year’s experiment with small 25 ml tubs of the Big Mac sauce. At that time, the burger chain had even auctioned a 500 ml to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House charity.

According to news.com.au, McDonald’s had sent a limited number of Special Sauce bottles to members of the media last year. We assume they got a favourable response that led to this bottle-sale move.

“We had plenty of Aussies ask us where they could get bottles of our Special Sauce from, so we’re extremely excited to be able to again give Australians what they want. Australians can now use our iconic Big Mac Sauce wherever, whenever they want, and on everything from sausages to steak, or even a roast,” explains Paul Tredinnick, senior marketing director of McDonald’s. “Given how creative people got with the tubs of sauce last year, I can’t wait to see our customers’ Big Mac Sauce experiments,” he adds.

The bottles will be priced at $4.95 and will be available at limited outlets in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Northern Territory, Western Australia and Tasmania.
